I love drawing vintage glam. Frankly, it's easier for me to illustrate it than to source and wear it. But wouldn't it be fun to harness your inner actress, muster your Golden Age of Hollywood, sally forth in your finery and have people wondering if you're taking a lunch break from a film set nearby? Where there's manure, there's a pony !

Ever the optimist {and annoyingly to some, I might add}, when life shovels up clods that are on the nose, I will always look for the bright side ~ even if I have to dig around a bit to find it. Call me stubborn and pass the Kate Spade.

Today's illustration finds us languishing in an aqua vision of fluffiness on a tufted purple velvet ottoman in a bucolic corner of countryside ~ as you do. I think there's a certain romance to being barefooted and impractical. How about you? And on that note ...

Fashion & Fluffballs Friday : I Dream of Jean-y

I'm not sure we could squoosh ourselves into Jeannie's bottle, but we can aspire to some Jeannie-esque hair.

When I was little {littler}, I adored I Dream of Jeannie. My most adored PJs were pink and white spotted, with a top akin to hers. If I could find her harem-styled outfit for a fancy dress costume today, I'd still want to take it for a spin ~ albeit with a diaphanous scarf draped strategically where a six pack will never be.

For lounging around in today's illustration, however, I've chosen something muffin-top friendly plus boyfriend jeans, being far more conducive to kitty climbing than harem pants. The very thought makes my eyes water. Aieee! And on that note ....
