If life has other plans for your travel plans, you can always journey with your mind. And I hope my illustrations also keep your travel dreams alive! And when you're putting pins on a map of Italy for a future trip, here's a quaint and enchanting place to stop by: il Museo della 500 di Calascibetta near Sicilia.

This tucked-away treasure trove holds a fun and captivating array of memorabilia and novelties dedicated to this very adorable motor car.

And it's my pleasure to have loaded up my fleetest carrier pigeon with the original of today's ink and watercolour illustration to join other creative Fiat 500-inspired works contributed by artists from around the world to this petite and charming museum for all cute car enthusiasts to enjoy.

Having focused on the consumption of coupes de champagne, berries with cream and éclairs au chocolat, my memories are hazy as to availability of croissants and pain aux raisins. Pawhaps these were smuggled in under her jumper. No risk of being caught ... her furry sidekick can make short work of the evidence if she gives him a wake-up nudge! And on that note ...

Happy Fashionable Friday to you! There's nothing like moving home to give you something to wine about !

After a week of surfing packing boxes, I've surfaced. I've learned in the process that it does not take one hour to pack up a kitchen. It does not take one hour to pack up an entire studio office, even excluding the wardrobe of clothes one keeps in same. It does not take one hour to pack anything, except maybe possibly the bathroom. My studio office took almost a day.

This proved more than slightly problematic because I'd used the 'one hour per room' equation in assessing it was safe to start packing up the house just two days prior to the removalist truck arriving. Let's just say that by the time I finished, all hopes of gaining a gold medal in packing and labelling excellence had evaporated, along with my sense of humour. Thankfully at least that, I can now find. And on that note ...

Don't rush to the optometrist: those spots dancing before your eyes are everywhere at the moment. It's like fashion is throwing a giant confetti party and we're all invited.

Personally, I love it! I can rarely keep a patterned garment in my wardrobe for long, but spots are the patterns you have when you're not really having a pattern. They are the classics of the pattern world. Give them a neutral wardrobe and they'll take you from wallflower to dancing queen with one polka-dotted scarf tied behind your back!
