Necessity is the mother of linguistic invention.

Today's illustration is set in Greece, not Italy, so I've taken poetic license for today's post title by using the Italian form of the word sartorial, that being sartoriale. Somehow, Santorini Stroll ραπτικός just doesn't have the same ring. {And let's not ask why I didn't just stick with the English form of the word sartorial, that being sartorial. That's way too much explaining to do.}

So come, let us hoist our geographically-appropriate Boho skirts and seek out some shade and a geographically-appropriate drink. I think I'd like mine with a miniature umbrella, geographically-appropriate or otherwise. And on that note ...

Now, if you ask me, a freestanding macaron cart is just begging for trouble. And a joyride.

Today's illustration of a sweet macaron spot in Paris is loaded with zero-calorie eye candy ~ and a health-inspection-safe kitty cat for no particular reason other than that's how we roll around here.

We're dressed for the occasion, so throw on your best leopard-print trackie dacks and joggers and be ready for a quick getaway. And on that note ...

Weekend in Venice, anyone? This watery-coloured scenery is long overdue Chez Shell. My apologies and pass the prosecco, per favore.

Today's Venice illustration sees us consulting a somewhat dubious source for a palm reading. I don't even know why, as I'll see your soothsayer and raise it by my naysayer. I'd rather be surprised with what each day unfurls than go through life wondering how to think ahead of every predicted contingency. I can't even plan my wardrobe the night ahead let alone the rest of it!

So come, let us hoik up our skirts or palazzo pants, perch ourselves at a Venetian vantage point and wave at the locals. You never know who might stop along. And on that note ...
